A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the “Cochrane Iran Associate Centre” and the “Iranian Epidemiological Association” to expand the activities of the Cochrane Iran Associate Centre and to use the capacities and capabilities of the Iranian Epidemiological Association, in July 26, 2022.
The director of the Cochrane Iran Associate Centre clarified: “The subject of this memorandum of cooperation is to expand educational, research, and promotional activities as well as to establish a suitable platform to benefit from the mutual services of the Cochrane Iran Associate Centre and the Iranian Epidemiological Association in expanding the use of reliable evidence, informed decision-making, and a promoted health, in response to the problems and needs in the field of medical sciences.”
He also clarified: “Within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation, the Cochrane Iran Associate Centre can cooperate with the Iranian Epidemiological Association in selecting national and international lecturers/speakers for training courses/congresses and seminars, holding training courses, and other subjects related to research and education.”
Dr. Qobad Moradi, the secretary of the Iranian Epidemiological Association, at the signing ceremony of this memorandum of cooperation clarified: “That in this memorandum of cooperation, this association will cooperate with the Cochrane Iran Associate Centre in the fields of advocacy for evidence-based, informed decision-making, persuading and encouraging researchers, members of the Association and students to use the Cochrane Library and other Cochrane products, preparing lectures and training courses for Cochrane lecturers in line with the application of Cochrane evidence by health service providers, and cooperating in signing a memorandum of cooperation with other related associations, and expanding Cochrane's activities and encouraging the evidence-informed decision-making.”
