While we’re almost at the end of January already, it is still well worth reflecting on Cochrane’s achievements in 2017 and what lies ahead for the organization. 2018 promises to be another exciting year of transformation and change as we increase still further our capacity to produce and disseminate high-quality evidence to impact health decision making around the world.

The recordings from this year’s Annual General Meeting are now available! Watch Governing Board Co-Chair Cindy Farquhar; CEO Mark Wilson; Deputy Editor in Chief Karla Soares-Weiser; and Treasurer Martin Burton give their views on Cochrane’s performance in 2017 and plans for the organization’s future.

A newly 

March  2018 Update The March 2018 revision of the Cochrane Priority Reviews List includes new titles from the Cochrane Effective Practice & Organisation of Care, Oral Health; and Pregnancy & Childbirth Groups.

Students and teachers play an important role in Cochrane. They are involved in educating the next generation of healthcare professionals about evidence-based medicine,  directly contributing to a global effort of identifying health evidence, to translating Cochrane evidence in 14 different languages. 

Four new Cochrane EPOC overviews of reviews show reliable evidence on the effects of different ways of organising, financing, and governing health systems in low-income countries and identify important evidence gaps.   Links to the new overviews in the Cochrane Library:

I am delighted to announce a new initiative that I believe will transform Cochrane as an evidence-producing and knowledge-diffusing organization.

This Cochrane Overview is the first publication produced with the support of Cochrane’s Fast Track service.
